For oral administration it is recommended that the oil be swished around the gums and teeth and held under the tongue for at least 60 seconds, preferably more, before swallowing. Oil extraction – the flowers and leaves are dried and powdered and heated gently in oil to absorb all the compounds of the dried plant, gives the most full spectrum extract and is easy for anyone to do but potency is much lower and many compounds may be extracted that aren’t wanted.
